For Alicia Laurin, a career in veterinary medicine grew naturally from a lifelong love of animals. She spent time volunteering with shelters, clinics, and animal fundraising events before earning her Veterinary Assistant diploma from Ashworth College in 2021.
Since then, Alicia has worked in small animal practice and in an animal wellness and integrative medicine setting. She particularly enjoys supporting animals who are fearful or vulnerable and helping make their experience as comfortable as possible. Alicia became Fear Free certified in 2023 and earned her Canine Hydrotherapy certification with honours in 2024.
She is excited to continue growing within urgent care and supporting pets and their families as part of our team. In her free time, Alicia enjoys learning about canine behaviour with her Border Collie, Jasper, and spending time with Rolo, her rescue cat.
