Your Day-to-Day
| π©Ί Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to every patient and client who walks through our doors | π¨ββοΈ Support the veterinarian through appointments, surgeries, and client education β freeing them to focus on diagnosis and decision-making |
| π Complete thorough patient intake assessments and communicate your findings clearly to the attending doctor | π¬ Collect and process diagnostic samples β blood, urine, fecal, cytology β for both in-house and reference lab analysis |
| πΎ Handle and restrain animals calmly and safely, even in high-stress or emergency situations | π Place IV catheters, perform venipuncture, calculate and initiate fluid drip rates, and administer IV medications |
| π Prepare and dispense medications accurately, ensuring complete medical records and appropriate client billing | π΄ Monitor patients under anesthesia, oversee post-operative recovery, and keep owners informed every step of the way |
| π§ Set up and assist with medical procedures, surgeries, and imaging β with proper sterile technique throughout | π§Ή Keep the clinic safe, clean, and compliant β from sterilizing instruments to maintaining a sanitary treatment environment |
| π Monitor hospitalized patients, administer scheduled treatments, and advocate for their welfare throughout their stay | π» Maintain accurate, detailed records in our hospital management system and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues |
Is This You?

| π Certification | Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) |
| π§ Experience | 2+ years of hands-on patient care |
| π Exams | Passed the VTNE, or will be passing it soon |
| π¬ Communication | Able to communicate clearly and calmly with clients in stressful situations |
| β‘ Mindset | Composed, detail-oriented, and reliable when it matters most |
| π Schedule | Comfortable with a rotating schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays |
Physical & Safety Requirements
This role is active, hands-on, and fast-paced.
You should be comfortable with:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Working at a keyboard or workstation for portions of the day
- Kneeling, bending, crouching, balancing, or crawling when needed
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Working around sick, injured, or fractious animals
- Exposure to zoonotic diseases, hazardous materials, cleaning agents, anesthetic gases, and radiation
- Following all hospital safety protocols and WorkSafeNB standards
Compensation & Perks
